Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has again sung the praises of West Ham ace Dimitri Payet.

The Frenchman has been linked with a January move to Arsenal.

And Wenger, despite Saturday's thumping of the Irons, told Le 10 Sport: "Even in the France team, Payet is one of the major players.

"He may have confirmed his potential a little late. West Ham has surely been one of the triggers for him, with playing in England, adapting and showing that he has talent. He not only convinced everyone in England that he is a great player.

"With his performances, he also earned his place in the national team for the Euros."
