Wenger admits Arsenal not close to making new signing

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits they're not close to signing a new player.

With the transfer window closing next Tuesday, Wenger is not expecting a busy period with players moving in or out of the club.

Wenger said: "At the moment we are not close to signing anybody. The transfer market is internal for us. We recently played with ten players out, to have only two or three out would help us a lot, much more than the transfer marker.

"You can look around at all the big clubs and who bought players? Nobody because you can’t find players at the moment who can strengthen big clubs."
