Wembley hero Lingard hungry for more with Man Utd

Manchester United's Jesse Lingard continued his love affair with Wembley on Sunday.

The 24-year-old attacker scored United's second goal in their 3-2 EFL Cup triumph over Southampton on Sunday, adding to the winner in last season's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace and goal in the Community Shield against Leicester City earlier this campaign.

It was the third piece of silverware for the Red Devils since May last year and Lingard insists he is hungry for more.

"Manchester United have got a history of winning trophies," he told MUTV.

"We won two last year and obviously one at the start of the season, so we've got a knack for winning and, you know, as soon as you get that winning feeling, you always want more."

On the significance of his latest goal at English football's headquarters, Lingard said: "It's up there.

"It's helped the team win another trophy and that's why you're on the pitch, you've always got to help your team."

Quizzed on why he loves Wembley so much, Lingard added: "I'm not too sure really.

"I think, since I scored the first time and obviously lifted the trophy, it was a mad feeling and you want to carry it on the rest of the times you play at Wembley."
