Wembley date will motivate Aston Villa - Given

Aston Villa keeper Shay Given believes booking a date at Wembley will act as a catalyst for the remainder of the season.

?The West Midlands outfit defeated West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Villa Park in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday which has sent them to the final four in April.

?The result, on the back of the last gasp 2-1 West Midlands derby victory over Albion on Tuesday, has 17th-placed Villa in a buoyant mood to kick on and move clear of the Premier League drop zone.

?"It's a massive scrap at the bottom and we've got a huge game coming up against Sunderland, but I think something that will help is that we've all got a trip to Wembley in the back of our minds," Given told talkSPORT's 'Call Collymore' program.

?"Tim has said how he will pick players on how they train and their work during the week, and everyone is going to want to be a part of that team, so I think that can only help us in the Premier League as well.

"Victories like that breed confidence. The lads are all singing and dancing in there and we've got to keep that feeling in the camp for the rest of the season."??
