Wellington Phoenix all are set for a double-header in Melbourne this week according to coach Ricki Herbert. The New Zealand club take on the Victory at AAMI Park in the first of the A-League's midweek games tomorrow night before meeting the Heart at the same venue on Sunday.
Phoenix coach Herbert has prepared by taking a 17-man squad with him and is aware that it might be too much of an ask for most players to back up from the 2-1 win over Sydney FC on Saturday with two more games this week.
"Some players might not go Saturday, Wednesday, Sunday - it will be tough for them to back up," Herbert told NZPA.
"I thought the players worked really well on Saturday but they did a lot of work. Players like (Paul) Ifill and (Chris) Greenacre you've got to be a little bit careful with.
"If some play (tomorrow) they might not play on Sunday, but that's not so concerning as we have some good depth to bring in now."
