Ben Sigmund is eagerly anticipating Wellington Phoenix's A-League match against Adelaide United in his hometown of Christchurch.
The New Zealand international missed Saturday's 2-2 draw with Melbourne Victory due to suspension but he will be back in action tomorrow night against Sydney FC before playing his first match in Christchurch in a Phoenix shirt on the weekend.
"I was disappointed last year to be on the bench [for the Phoenix's 1-0 win over Adelaide in Christchurch] and to not get on at all for that game," Sigmund said yesterday. "But, all going well, I should be starting in Christchurch this time. "It'll be nice to play in front of my home crowd, for sure.
"I'm looking forward to getting back. It's been a good year for me so far. I've been in pretty good form and I want to keep that going."
