Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Mark Paston is set to take on the Brisbane Roar on Friday night.
The New Zealand international was in doubt for the round 4 clash with a groin strain but passed a fitness test today and will travel with the Phoenix squad to Brisbane.
Wellington coach Ricki Herbert confirmed the 33-year old was almost certain to start at Suncorp Stadium despite the injury worry and the fact the club has brought in former Central coast Mariners gloveman Danny Vukovic.
"He'll start in goal (against Brisbane) as long as he's right and it looks like he is. Mark's in the driving seat and it's his position to lose, really, given he's done extremely well," Herbert said.
"We haven't brought Danny here because Mark's not playing well, we brought Danny in to inject some depth into the position."
