Wellington Phoenix's Ifill a chance for North Queensland clash

Paul Ifill is still a 50% chance of lining up for the Wellington Phoenix when they take on the North Queensland Fury tonight.

The star striker is struggling with a slight groin problem which kept him out of training yesterday but Ricki Herbert said he would be given every chance to come up for the Week 8 clash at Westpac Stadium.

"He's 50-50 at the moment so we'll keep him in the squad," Herbert said. "We've had this before and he's come through."

But Herbert said with such a long season, Ifill will not be risked if he is not well enough to take his place in the line-up.

"I'm not going to risk him," he added. "If he is out we will bring in Daniel up front with Nick Ward, Chris Greenacre and Leo Bertos in a 4-2-4 line-up."
