Wellington Phoenix not ready to admit defeat in Reddy talks

Wellington Phoenix chief Tony Pignata insists they could still hang onto goalkeeper Liam Reddy.

Reddy is expected to move to Sydney FC as he comes off contract at the Nix.

"I've had a coffee with Liam and he has not made his mind up what he wants to do next year," Pignata said. "All we know is his family's based in Sydney. We have to wait for the season to end to see what he wants to do."

On defender Jon McKain, Pignata added: "There's definitely an interest to keep Jon and we've spoken to him many times over the last few months."
