Wellington Phoenix and defender Karl Dodd have parted ways after the club decided not to renew his contract.

The 28-year old played 36 games for the club after crossing from the Queensland Roar.

"Karl's been an integral member of the Phoenix," Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata said.

"It's disappointing that we're parting company but we wish him all the best for the future."
