Wellington Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata says he is "very close" to re-signing several of the 15 squad members who come off contract at the end of this season, and he hopes to finalise signings in the next few weeks. But he will not be rushing to sign a guest player or add another squad member when the November 1 transfer window opens.

"We'll see what's available, but we want to make sure that, if we do bring someone in, it's going to add value."
