Wellington Phoenix have been boosted by the return of star striker Paul Ifill for this weekend's elimination final.
The Phoenix take on Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday night and will regain the services of the seven-goal forward for the must-win clash.
"At times it didn't seem as if it was going to happen [making the finals], on both fronts, but the team made it and I'm delighted to have made it as well," Ifill said.
"I felt good at training. I'm lacking a little strength wise but have been working hard in the gym and it has paid off.
"Now it is a confidence thing. The specialist says there is nothing wrong structurally so I am happy on that front."
Ifill has been out of action since December when he hurt his leg in the 4-0 win over Newcastle Jets and will certainly be a welcome addition to the Phoenix attacking line.
