Wellington Phoenix and Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have agreed a fee for defender Jon McKain.
The 27-year old Australian will join the Middle East outfit pending a medical which will end his stay at the Phoenix who he joined in 2008.
A 12-time Socceroos representative, McKain will be sorely missed by the Phoenix and he was praised by club chairman and owner Terry Serepisos for his efforts on and off the pitch.
"He's been a fantastic member of the team and has made valuable contributions on and off the field. However, as a club we take pride in playing a key role in player development," he said.
"Joining a major Saudi Arabian club is a massive opportunity for Jon professionally and the club recognises and fully endorses his desire to further his career.
"If anything, this is proof that the Phoenix plays a pivotal role in player development and that the club provides a pathway for players to aspire to the world's top competitions."
