Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert will not hand a debut to Chinese import Jiang Chen.
The China U23 international joined his teammates for his first training session today but Herbert will put off his debut until he is 100% ready to go.
"He's had his fitness test this morning and he's joined the group for a session here. It's good to have him here," said Herbert.
"He's settled in pretty quickly. We'll be patient with him. I think he can certainly be an impact for us. We'll probably look around the next home game against Adelaide to have him part of that."
The Phoenix take on Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday and despite a win on the weekend, Herbert is very cautious of Frank Farina's men.
"I think Brisbane are very good on the counter and have quick players up front too so we'll have to be conscious of that," he added.
"They'll probably be slightly different to what Perth were going to challenge us with and we've never gone there (to Brisbane) and done that well either.
"I'm not sure there will be a lot of personnel changes. I think just slightly different responsibilities, at least for the front players.
"They will be desperate to try and get their season started. We're in good form and we travel there with a lot of confidence off the back of Perth and we'll look to get across there and get three points."
