Herbert believes his team deserved more from the match as the Phoenix created several chances but were unable to finish off their good work further afield.
"It was a bit frustrating, as we just couldn't quite find that goal from the chances we created," he said.
On the other hand, Reds coach Aurelio Vidmar wasnâ€™t deterred by the fact his could not grab maximum points, saying it was a solid effort after such a heavy workload.
â€śI thought we were great for the first 20 minutes, but we lost concentration and made a few mistakes and the Phoenix got themselves back in the game," Vidmar said.
"It's our fifth game in 15 days, and we have a squad that's totally depleted with injuries â€¦ but ultimately, you have to cope with that.â€ť
