Wellington Phoenix and Adelaide United have played out a 1-1 draw at Westpac Stadium tonight. Phoenix's English import Paul Ifill opened up the scoring in the 35th minute with a cracking left-foot shot that gave Reds goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic no chance before former Sydney FC defender Iain Fyfe equalised three minutes before the break.

Both sides remain at the foot of the A-League table with just five points from five games.

Adelaide now turn their attention to next Friday night where they host Central Coast Mariners whilst the Phoenix are away to Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
