Richie Wellens has spoken glowingly of a pair of talented Manchester United youngsters.
The former Red Devils midfielder has been back coaching the United youth academy at the club where it all started, and has seen first-hand the extraordinary talent of Angel Gomes and Callum Gribbins.
Both Gomes and Gribbin come with massive wraps and former Leicester City, Blackpool and Oldham Athletic star Wellens, who has taken them on at training, can see why.
"I used to have a little bit of a laugh with them," the 36-year-old told the Daily Mail.
“They'd see this old man come in, at the end of his career, joining in. They used to take the mickey, saying 'you can't keep up,' but you quickly get respect. They see you can still play.
“When you're on the touchline you see the whole picture but in the middle of it you can sense who gives you a good weight of pass, who's making good angles.
“Both Gomes and Gribbin are unbelievable talents. If they were Spanish, people would be raving about them. They can go all the way.
“A few are really talented but also, at that age, starting to get a little bit of an ego. They're earning decent money."
