The Manchester United duo Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick have withdrawn from the England squad because of injury, the Football Association has confirmed, reports The Guardian. No replacements have been called up, leaving Roy Hodgson, with 26 men to choose from.
England's plans have been disrupted by a stomach virus at St George's Park that has forced them to abandon their usual base out of concerns it could sweep through Hodgson's squad.
