David Weir has called for a Rangers response following their shock 3-0 home defeat to Hibernian. Gers had made an unbeaten start to the new Scottish Premier League campaign with their only dropped points being a draw at home with Inverness.
Fatigue has been suggested as a possible reason for the surprise result, something Weir does not believe was a factor.
"We learned a lesson against Hibs, and it is vital we respond in the correct manner against Aberdeen," Weir told the Evening Times.
"It is disappointing losing 3-0 at home. It is a big blow.
"If you look for an excuse you will find one, but tiredness was not a problem. We just did not play well enough."
Weir has been pleased with Rangers' recent form and believes that Hibs were just too good on the night at Ibrox.
He continued: "If you look at our last couple of games, the performances have not been good enough.
"Hibs scored early twice and you must give them credit. They came with a game plan and it worked for them."
