David Weir is emerging as a favourite to succeed David Moyes at Everton.
The Mirror says Weir has emerged as a front-runner to become Everton's new manager as Roberto Martinez continues to agonise over his Wigan future.
The 43-year-old Scot is in line to be promoted - if Martinez decides to stay on at the DW Stadium.
Martinez will announce his intentions on Tuesday, when he is scheduled to meet with Latics chairman Dave Whelan.
Sources in Norway claim former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has done an impressive job managing Molde, is also under discussion at boardroom level.
