Andi Weimann hailed the home fans after Aston Villa's win over QPR.

Weimann set up Christian Benteke's winner before being substituted late on.

He told Villa's website: "The fans were brilliant.

"They have been fantastic all season. But in the game against QPR they were even better.

"There were nearly 40,000 here in the ground and they were all willing us on to win.

"The reaction I got was great. I want to do my best for Villa. Receiving a standing ovation when I came off was brilliant."
