Nicky Weaver is in limbo at Manchester City.

Goalkeeper Weaver was in talks over a two-year contract at City, including a testimonial, when Stuart Pearce was sacked on May 14.

Talks on that deal cannot be completed until the takeover issue has been resolved, although the keeper is expected to get both his contract and his testimonial.
