We would love Beckham at West Ham - Sullivan

West Ham United would love to have LA Galaxy star David Beckham at the club according to co-owner David Sullivan.

The ex-England captain, who seriously injured his Achilles whilst on loan with AC Milan earlier this year, is contracted to the Galaxy but has given the indication in recent times that he is still keen to play in the Premier League.

Sullivan hopes that is the case and admitted he would jump at the chance to have the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder back in his London roots.

"I'd love David Beckham," Sullivan told the Daily Mail.

"He has massive cult status in East London and still has a house near Bishop's Stortford, not far from our training ground. He's from Chingford, which is our heartland. We are the club of east London and Essex.

"If AC Milan didn't want him in January and if he still wanted to do it, I'd love to have him. He seems a remarkable professional."
