We will not take FA Cup for granted - Man City's Kompany

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists the players will not take this weekend's FA Cup final for granted.

City will contest their second cup final at Wembley in three seasons when they meet Wigan Athletic on Saturday but Kompany knows how hard it is to be present on this particular day and has urged his teammates to relish the opportunity.

"Every single time it is something very special. You shouldn't take these kind of games for granted, they don't always keep coming," he said.

"It is unbelievable for us to do it again, and for the fans it is unbelievable as well.

"We have to be respectful of every trophy we can get. If we win this one it will be massive for the club and something to cherish.

"If you win a trophy you should celebrate it, you consider it as a great achievement."
