West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo says this break is an important time of the season to keep team spirit up.
The Baggies are currently in La Manga, Spain for a five-day training camp before they return to action in the Championship next week.
But Di Matteo is without seven players who are away on international duty and says it is important for the rest of the squad to keep up morale and spirit in their absence.
"It's a shame that we have so many players away on international duty but we have brought all the other players away with us - the injured players and everybody else that is available," said Di Matteo.
"We are going to work hard and train but it's also important that we keep the team spirit going because it can be a vital part of the season if you have a good team spirit.
"When it comes to the middle and the end of the season that really can be important.
"This is the last international break for a long time now and there will be many games in November, December and January, so hopefully if we keep everybody involved we should be in the mix."
The Baggies will be able to test their team spirit when they face Bristol City when they return next weekend.
