Landon Donovan admits the LA Galaxy do miss the influence of David Beckham.
The now-retired 38-year old departed the MLS champions at the culmination of the 2012 season and former teammate Donovan feels there is a gaping hole in the Galaxy midfield after their first 11 league games of the new campaign.
"We do miss him," Donovan told Goal.com. "We miss his ability on the field.
"He stretches teams in ways that no other player really can. You don't realize the benefits of that over the course of a game, how that really opens up the field. And then his leadership was excellent at times. That's been a little bit of an adjustment."
