We did not impose ourselves on Augsburg - Liverpool boss Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that his players failed to impose themselves in the goalless draw with Augsburg in the first leg of the round of 32 of Europa League on Thursday night.

The Reds will now host the Bundesliga club in the second leg of the tie at Anfield on February 25 having struggled to really get a foothold in the clash at the WWK Arena in Bavaria.

"We had a few chances, but I can't say I am particularly happy," said Klopp.

"There's no point getting carried away, 0-0 away from home isn't a bad result, but we still have a lot of work to do.

"We didn't really get our pressing game going, we didn't get into our rhythm and failed to impose ourselves in midfield.

"There were a lot of things we could have done better."
