We are still in touching distance - QPR boss Ramsey

QPR boss Chris Ramsey has refused to give up on the Premier League relegation battle after his side's latest defeat against Everton at Loftus Road.

Goals from Seamus Coleman and Aaron Lennon either side of Eduardo Vargas' equaliser inflicted a fifth-straight home defeat on the west London side.

The 2-1 loss leaves the R's second from bottom on the league table and four points behind 17th-placed Sunderland with just eight games left in the season.

Ramsey admits it could have been worse for the club if fellow relegation rivals had picked up any points over the weekend.

"Fortunately for us the other teams in our part of the division haven't won so it keeps us in touching distance," he said.

"We have to use these next two weeks to keep battling away and training hard to make sure we perform like that for the rest of the season.

"We are still in touching distance, which is very important, had they all won and we had lost it might have looked more bleak than it is."
