All the players involved with the England national team setup were over the moon for Steven Gerrard on Tuesday night.
The inspirational captain scored the goal that booked their ticket to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the 2-0 home win over Poland and his performance was praised by Wayne Rooney who was also on the scoresheet at Wembley.
"He's obviously one of our senior players and our captain, so to show that drive towards the end and get that goal which killed the game was great for him and we're all enormously pleased for him," he told Sky Sports.
