WC2010 review: France

France's 2010 World Cup campaign can only be described as a disaster.

Les Bleus gathered just one point in the group stage to finish bottom behind Uruguay, Mexico and hosts South Africa but it wasn't just their performances that drew criticism.

The in-house fighting between coach Raymond Domenech and his players caused plenty of animosity within the squad and the team who were runners-up in 2006, were able to score just once, in the final game when it was all over.

The performance as a whole was completely lost on former France striker Sylvain Wiltord who told FIFA.com: "It's completely inexplicable and worrying. This team isn't attractive to watch. There's a real lack of desire and understanding between the players. That can't be the fault of the coach alone."
