Ben Watson is hoping for another Wigan Athletic start this weekend against Sunderland.
The former Crystal Palace midfielder, a £1.5 million addition to the squad in January told the Wigan Observer: "We would have liked to have played the day after the West Ham game if we could, just to win a game, because we really need a win.
"At the moment it's not happening, but we can only look to the next game and we'll see how we go.
"The confidence is still there - even last Wednesday night I thought we started well, and I think we would have won the game with eleven men.
"It's not as east as that, because you have to go out there and do your stuff on the pitch."
