Watford's want-away Ellington hopes for Blackburn call

Nathan Ellington is ready to leave Watford.

The experienced striker has made only one Championship start so far under new manager Malky MacKay after spending last season on loan at Derby.

He also had a trial spell with Blackburn before ending up back at Vicarage Road.

Ellington enjoyed his Ewood Park trial and believes by getting more games under his belt he will stay fresh in Sam Allardyce's mind.

"I think I've left a good imprint on (Blackburn's) minds," he said. "It's just how I do now while I'm at Watford, or wherever I am, how I do in the season.

"I think they could assess the situation further when the time comes."
