Adam Johnson hopes his superb form for Watford can boost his career at Middlesbrough.

"Hopefully the loan will make me a better player," he said. "I'm playing week in, week out which Middlesbrough couldn't guarantee me with he quality they have and the players ahead of me.

"And there's so much potential in the Academy there with players coming through. But I'm fortunate being with Watford, who are top of the league, and I'm enjoying it."
