Kilmarnock boss Jimmy Calderwood has taken Watford youngster Rob Kiernan on trial. The 19-year-old defender will spend a few days training with the Ayrshire club and Calderwood says he has been impressed by the teenager so far.

Calderwood said: "I've got a young lad in at the moment, from Watford, who is a centre-half.

"He is going to be with us for a couple of days and we will have a look at him.

"He did really well today in training."
