Watford owner Laurence Bassini has pulled the pin on the sale of the club to the Pozzo family.
The English businessman was reportedly set to sell the Hornets to the owners of Italian club Udinese and Spanish outfit Granada but has since revealed that they have not been able to meet his valuation of the Vicarage Road club.
"They didn't provide the proof of funds and it is not transparent enough so that is that.
"They have so many partners but they don't have the money.
"The deal is definitely off. They do not have the money. What can I do?""They don't have the money (I want for the takeover) so I'm not doing the deal," he told the Watford Observer.
