Watford winger Henri Lansbury admits he sees his future at parent club Arsenal.
The midfielder spent three months in League One with Scunthorpe last year and is spending the current campaign at Championship side Watford. But he doesn't want his rise through the leagues to stop there.
"I always wanted to get a new contract with Arsenal because it's where I want to play my football," Lansbury told Arsenal.com. "I'll go back to the Club in pre-season and try and prove myself there.
"I've done League One and now I'm in the Championship. The next step for me is to prove myself in the Premier League.
"I'm sure I'll go back and prove myself. I want to go back and play football. I will have to work and take my chances.
"I've sat down and spoken to Arsène Wenger about it. He said if I work hard and he likes the way I am training then I will get my chance.
"I will go back there and try and prove myself - work hard and hopefully push for the first team."
