Watford whizkid Quina admits he left West Ham for first-team opportunities

New Watford signing Domingos Quina says that he moved from West Ham United in search of first team football.

While the youngster was rated highly at the London club, he found himself struggling for game time.

Now the 18-year-old attacker has a chance to show what he can do at Vicarage Road.

He signed a four year contract with the option for a fifth on deadline day.

"I came to Chelsea from Portugal when I was 12 and left them to join West Ham in 2016 where I was looking for chances in the first-team," Quina told the club website.

"That didn't happen so I have moved on and I think I will get better chances to make it in the first-team and improve myself.

"I have been playing for the Under-23s for three years in a row now and I think it is the time to move on, play in the first-team and crack on.

"I am really happy and I have come here to play for the first-team. That is the main reason I came here."
