Watford trials for Everton pair Barnett, Nolan

Watford are considering a deal for Everton pair Moses Barnett and John Nolan.

Both players are expected to be released by the Premier League club at the end of the season and have been on trial at Vicarage Road, playing in Watford's reserves on Monday night.

Barnett, 19, can play at left-back or centre-back and started out at Arsenal. He has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level, and played five games on loan at Darlington earlier this season.

Nolan is a 17-year-old midfielder who has been at Everton since he was seven.

"We are going to have a look at a couple of them again for another few days and we will discuss it further," he told the Watford Observer.

"There will be a couple leaving us and a couple who will be staying for another few days.

"There was a lot of work done with our staff in terms of bringing together a lot of youngsters to look at for our academy and youth set-up."
