Watford are hoping to soon secure the signature of Manchester City's Seko Fofana.

Sky Sport Italia is reporting that the Hornets will sign the 21-year-old permanently from City before sending him on loan to Italian club Udinese, who along with the Hertfordshire club is opened by Gino Pozzo.

Fofana spent last season on loan with French club Bastia, following a temporary stint with Fulham, but is now expected to spend the 2016/17 campaign in Serie A before returning to Vicarage Road next summer.
