Watford will have to wait for the World Cup to end before their target Mahmoud Hassan becomes available.
The Kasimpasa midfielder is on the Hornets' radar but the vice-chairman of the Turkish side, Hasan Hilmi Oksuz, says his club is in no rush to sell the player, known as 'Trezeguet' in Turkey.
"We are prepared to wait until after the World Cup with Trezeguet," Oksuz told media in Turkey. "He's under contract with our club so we are relaxed about the situation.
"If he enjoys a good World Cup and suitable bids arrive for both parties then we can, but that's not the case at the moment."
Hassan scored 13 goals in 34 outings for Kasimpasa and Turkey national team last term.
