Watford struggling to keep Vydra as five PL clubs circle

ChampionshipWatford face competition from five Premier League clubs for the signing of on-loan Udinese striker Matej Vydra, according his agent. The two clubs are both owned by the Pozzo family and talks have already begun to make Vydra's move to Vicarage Road permanent.

However, agent Ondrej Chovanec revealed the 20 year old Czech Republic international is also being tracked by Premier League sides.

He said: "At the moment, five Premier League clubs are interested in Matej.

"[But] we want Matej to stay with Watford at least until the summer. We are not planning any rush move for him.

"He has been at the club for six months, everything has worked fine, he has been coached by a great manager and the people love him. We have no reason to change anything."

Chovanec revealed talks to make Vydra's move to Watford permanent are at an advanced stage and the deal could be finalised before the end of the transfer window.
