Watford striker Andre Gray remains a target for Stoke City.

The Mirror says Gary Rowett wants another striker after Stoke landed Benik Afobe and is considering a bid for Gray.

New boss Rowett held a transfer summit on Monday to finalise his spending plans.He has since snapped up Afobe from promoted Wolves this week for around £12million.

Now Rowett wants another frontman to help fire the Potters back to the Premier League.He has an interest in Newcastle's Dwight Gayle , 27, who scored 23 goals in 2016/2017 to help the Toon to promotion to pay back his £10m fee.
