Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley is confident his form on-loan at Watford is proof he can cut it at Premiership level.
Cleverley reckons he is ready to challenge Nani and Antonio Valencia for a place on the Manchester United wing.
Cleverley, 20, said: "Yeah, I think I'm ready for the Premier League. I've been watching the games and I don't think United have hit their best form.
"And I look at the people playing in my position and think, why not? I think I could step up.
"My best chance is on one of the wings. Straight into the team might be a bit ambitious but as a squad player I'd give energy, pace and hopefully some goals."
Cleverley is on loan until January and revealed talks are underway with Hornets boss Malky Mackay to decide if he will extend that until the end of the season.
He added: "I'm sending out a message to Manchester United and with performances like that, Watford can send out a message to the rest of the league. We can get into the play-off mix if we keep performing like that."
