Watford boss Sean Dyche was delighted with his side as they came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Birmingham at Vicarage Road. When asked if he was pleased with the spirit his side had shown, Dyche said: "Spirit's a vital ingredient when you're the underdog most weeks and it is a valued ingredient, but I thought the quality of our performance, in the second half particularly, was excellent."
Birmingham counterpart Chris Hughton said that the outcome for his team felt "more like a loss than a draw".
Hughton said: "We knew that Watford would have to come out in that second half and push, and of course what they did do was play a very direct game.
"And when you play against that type of game you've got to be able to deal with it. And I thought for the large majority of the game we dealt with it and dealt with it very well.
"Having got back into the lead so close before the end of the game, at this moment it's just very disappointing that we gave away what I thought was a soft goal.
"I couldn't have asked for any more for the players and the effort that they put in and that's what makes it even more disappointing. It's a very disappointing changing room in there that should be a happier place."
