Watford's Anya: Polish lad in the kitchen wants me to get him a shirt!

Watford winger Ikechi Anya suggests he might have to do his best to grab a Poland shirt this week.

The 26-year old is set to win his fifth cap for Scotland when they meet the Poles in Warsaw in a friendly on Wednesday and he has revealed that the Polish youngster in the kitchen at Vicarage Road might be in line for a new national team shirt.

"We've actually got a Polish lad in the kitchen at Watford so we have been having a bit of banter," he told the Daily Record.

"Am I worried he's going to poison my food? Nah. I actually think he's going to make it taste even better because he wants me to get him a shirt!"

Anya, who scored his first international goal against Macedonia in September, added that Scotland would be keeping their cards close to their chests as they get set to meet Poland in Euro2016 qualifiers later this year.

"We can turn it into a sort of chess game," he said.

"We can see their strengths and weaknesses but obviously they can see ours as well. The gaffer will choose how he wants to play it and I am sure it will stand us in good stead come September time."
