Watford are willing to sell Troy Deeney this month.
The Daily Mail says Watford will listen to offers for Deeney this month and want to replace him with Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe.
Deeney is club captain and been one of Watford's key players in recent years. But he has scored just twice so far this season and manager Marco Silva is now prepared to part with the fans favourite, though Watford will demand in the region of £20 million.
Newcastle have a concrete interest in Deeney, but the transfer fee and his £70,000-per-week wage could prove prohibitive.
The Vicarage Road club are keen on signing former Arsenal star Afobe to their squad before the transfer deadline.
