Watford have abandoned their plans to sign Kieran Gibbs, according to the Daily Mail.
The Hornets have had their eye on Gibbs for sometime, but Arsenal's asking price of £16m has made them re-think their strategy.
The Arsenal youth product has made over 130 appearances for the Gunners.
However, after the arrival of Sead Kolasinac, he has been pushed further down the pecking order.
Surprisingly, Arsenal are trying to offload some of their players - including Gibbs - to raise funds and lower their wage bill.
But it seems they are not interested in taking what they consider to be inferior offers.
