Watford boss Aidie Boothroyd wants to prise Adam Johnson away from Middlesbrough.

Johnson starred for the Hornets during a loan spell but found his place in the team still blocked by Stewart Downing when he returned to Boro. Downing stayed at the Riverside in the last transfer window when Johnson was poised to replace him - and now the reserve may fancy a move, says the People.
