Watford management have decided to make a move to buy Gerard Deulofeu outright.

The winger joined Watford on-loan from Barcelona in January, with the deal to run to the end of this season.

El Mundo Deportivo says Watford chiefs and manager Javi Gracia have agreed to push to keep hold of Deulofeu, with the priority to sign the midfielder permanently.

The key will be Deulofeu, who will have final say on any move. For their part, Barca will be happy to cash in this summer.

In Watford's favour is the presence of Gracia as manager, as Deulofeu is happy working with his fellow Spaniard.
