Watford are showing considerable interest in Etienne Capoue.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Hornets are hoping to land the French midfielder from Tottenham this summer as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

It is believed that Capoue fancies a move away from White Hart Lane after making just 12 league appearances under Mauricio Pochettino but Spurs will not let him leave on the cheap.

The north London club signed Capoue, 26, from Toulouse for £11million in the summer of 2013 but are now ready to let him go after making just 36 appearances in all competitions in the past two years.

It is believed that Watford are also keen on Capoue's Spurs teammate Paulinho.
